The WAY OF WADE 11 “Statue” basketball shoe, made in a super limited edition with a special 3D box, interprets the culture of victory and dedication to basketball, perfectly represented by Wade's career in Miami.
This limited edition is inspired by the bronze statue the Heat dedicated to their idol Dwyane Wade at the entrance of Miami's Kaseyla Center. The pose chosen for the artwork is of Wade during the iconic “THIS IS MY HOUSE” yell after the buzzer beater against the Bulls in 2009.
In this fantastic colorway, the Miami Heat champion's three titles are featured on the tongue, while the motto “THIS IS MY HOUSE” appears on the laces.
Three-dimensional shoe box
The WOW11 “Statue” box is a true work of art.
To make a bronze statue, metal in a liquid state at 1300° must be poured into the mold. After cooling, the surface must be carefully polished several times to become a work of art.
The team that designed this three-dimensional shoe box was inspired by this very process:
The outside of the box is cement gray to represent the cooling mold, into whose cracks boiling liquid metal flows.
The inside of the box is glowing and reveals the silhouette of Dwyane Wade, the iconic motto “THIS IS MY HOUSE” as well as a map of Miami.
The box of the new WOW 11 “Statue” is filled with numerous other details, such as the WADE logo placed on the map exactly where the statue is installed at the Kaseyla Center, or Wade's full career on the inside left side printed in gold.
